OVERVIEW

For most buildings, the majority of your energy spend is on operating your Lighting and HVAC systems. JMS will COLLABORATE with you to determine the best way to operate these systems and then program those energy management strategies into the Building Automation System. With JMS Energy Management Solutions, your equipment will run efficiently when being used, and be turned off when not being used. It sounds simple, but that is only the case when thoughtfully planned and executed through a Building Automation System.

FEATURES of JMS Energy Management Solutions

RIGHT ENERGY STRATEGY

We work with you to identify energy management strategies for each facility and each system within the facility.  The solution may be to implement relatively simple strategies such as optimized start/stop scheduling or night setup/setback setpoint adjustments.  Maybe the strategy will be to utilize demand limiting or duty cycling of equipment.  The solution may be to implement more complex strategies such as Duct Static Pressure reset on a VAV Air Handling Unit or Building Chilled Water reset.  We know one size does not fit all. We help you get it right.

PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS

A significant contributor to energy waste and high energy costs is equipment that is not operating properly. This may be due to systems that were never properly commissioned or malfunctioning mechanical equipment and hardware. Whatever the reason, the fact is you will have equipment that no longer operates as expected. JMS Predictive Analytics embedded in our BAS solutions continuously monitor the performance of equipment and systems to identify when performance is beginning to erode.

JMS Predictive Analytics can make corrective digital adjustments to keep equipment performance within expected norms. When a digital adjustment is not sufficient, Predictive Analytics will notify you of the need for maintenance or repair of the specific equipment.

Cost savings and impact on occupant comfort is significant. You will avoid the energy cost associated with systems that run inefficiently, as well as the cost of unexpected repair or replacement of equipment. It always easier and less expensive to resolve an equipment problem when you can identify that problem early. Most importantly, occupant comfort and building operations will experience little to no disruption when you can identify and address issues early on.

ENERGY TRACKING, REPORTING & BENCHMARKS

JMS delivers energy monitoring and measurement solutions to track enterprise-wide or single site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Graphics, reports, and trend data facilitate business decisions. These are delivered on graphical, web-based energy management dashboards that are easy to access and use. Comparative analytics and performance dashboards enable bench marking energy performance across your whole building portfolio.

ENERGY CODE COMPLIANCE

As a long-time member of the Texas Energy Managers Association, local chapters of the Association of Energy Engineers and local chapters of ASHRAE, the JMS team is well experienced in meeting industry energy standards such as ASHRAE 62.1 and IECC 2015, as well as local energy codes. Meeting energy codes is often straightforward, yet in some buildings, the needs of the building owner and the energy code do not always align. We have experience in these circumstances finding energy management and control solutions that satisfy both your operating requirements and the energy code.
